The panel lives up to its midday power and since the USB output is only 18W anyway you will see power draining your phone/power bank/etc. even with much less sun charging than on a clear afternoon. I would recommend that you use this panel with an external DC power supply that supports MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) to get the most out of the surface as you will be plugging in a number of things that plug into the USB outputs , still does not allow max out use a fairly large total package.

To be honest I was surprised at how well this thing works. I didn't have the opportunity to camp, so I did a real test by shutting down my phone (iPhone 12 pro max) to 12% battery.
