Melted and Charred - Cables and Connections

After a month of use, the adapter had melted and the contacts on the SATA side were charred. This is NOT a safe way to power a graphics card. I do NOT recommend doing this.

The adapter solved my problem with turning on the graphics card.

Life is better when everything works as it should. This adapter helped me connect a high performance graphics card to a Dell processor. It was the right length, the right connectors, and it worked.

R9 380 525w PSU

Dell t3500 precision with stock 525w PSU added an r9 380 graphics card for use as a gaming rig. This allows you to draw power from two different 12V power supply lines to maintain a more even load on the power supply. No problem.

DARE TO GUESS THAT THIS IS NOT A SMELLY PROBLEM AT ALL! I strongly recommend buying from a retailer. The goods received were functional and of the highest quality! It should also be noted that the goods were shipped carefully and on time! I ordered 6 and they all worked perfectly!

Allows you to add an 8-pin PCI-E connector to power an old PC - works great!

I had a slightly old (3 year old) PC that needed an 8 pin PCI-E power connector for a new Asus RX570 GPU that I just installed. (I didn't realize this requirement until I installed it). This allows two unused SATA power connectors from the PSU to power the GPU's fans. The fit works well - I wish the wires were a bit longer so I didn't have to redo the way the power cables are routed through the case; but that's a very minor complaint. Works great, now I go to the races.
