Not recommended! for controller

Glad to get this, reviewers loved the I feel. This is not the case at all, quality control seems to be lacking, the buttons are loose and rattle noticeably. There must be internal damage. It feels like it has already collapsed. I'm not sure if this is my only instance of production issues, but this controller sucks! With Smash Brothers release just around the corner, this shouldn't be the weapon you take into battle.

Button A sticks to both controllers I bought

I bought this controller specifically for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. It worked fine for a month or two until button A started to stick. First it got stuck for a moment, then until I had to pull it out, and finally it got stuck forever. It basically made the game unplayable, so I assumed it was just a fluke and bought another one. This one only lasted a month before being stuck forever. I'm very disappointed - these controllers aren't cheap and a month isn't enough for such a product (which I…

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The shoulder buttons, analog and Z, have nothing to do with the GameCube controller. This controller feels much worse in the hand than the GameCube controller. The Y button protrudes heavily from the controller, as do the Z buttons. The buttons on the shoulders feel smaller and everything feels cramped. The buttons on the front of the controller feel nice when pressed. Analog sticks feel good. The D-Pad seems a little imprecise, but that might be okay. The feel of this controller just doesn't…

AVOID: Can't change controller settings in Super Smash Bros Ultimate

While you can connect this controller to a Switch to play the game, you can control it Do not change. If you try this, two things will happen. - You cannot use the "Test" function to try out the settings you just changed. - While you can change the settings on this screen, when you get to the actual game, they don't have won implemented. (Note: this is not a "forgot to click save" issue either). Even after pressing "Save" with the new settings, the controller does not recognize the changes. "If

ANYONE INTERESTED IN WHY CAN'T CHANGE CONTROLS IN SMASH PLEASE READ

- Controller/Joy-Con Setup. You are NOT using the Gamecube controller setting to change the controls on this controller. On the controller setup screen, there is an "In Use" pop-up above the controller circuit in use. I hope this puts some people out of their misery. Other than that, I love this controller! It's very similar to a regular GameCube controller, but heavier at the same time! Works pretty well with Ultimate and it's nice to have a controller that looks like a GameCube controller but

This is an amplified GC controller!

Feels great initially, just like the Gamecube controller, same quality and feel. The face buttons are nice and clicky, the left analog stick feels a little smaller, and now the R and L buttons, which were just a Z button, feel bigger and nicer than the super-small original Z button on the Shoulder. The big gray shoulder buttons are now called the ZL and ZR, which have been scaled down a lot and are also now only digital, so they're not as good as the original GC design. In addition, the cross…

Amazing concept with very poor execution.

Despite my initial 2 star rating, I really love this controller. However, this controller has a few glaring flaws that really need to be considered before purchasing. What's Good?: · It's recognized by the system as a professional controller, not a GameCube controller, and has all the extra buttons you need to use. this with every game on the switch! · Same motion control features as professional controllers. · Fits perfectly in the hand, just the right weight. · Buttons and joysticks on the…

Better than the hori pillow but still not very good.

It makes me sad that this controller has some egregious flaws that keep it from being a really good Game Cube-inspired controller. , but not so much that it detracts from its use), but what it struggles with are the control knobs and triggers. The control knobs seem to suffer from the same problem as the Hori knobs, but to a lesser extent. They have a pretty bad snapback on release, so they can sometimes register reverse entries if you make multiple exact entries in a row that require different
