Great high torque starter at OEM price

I just installed this starter about a week ago; Man kick ass! I should have bought it sooner; Great cold morning start, OEM starter looks like a breeze. I rated it a four, I'll rate it again in a few months.

Best Starter for GM 6.5L Diesel Engine

After 3 years and 50,000 miles this thing still works great. It spins at least twice as fast as the stock starter. In fact, it was spinning so fast it was hard to tell one of the batteries was shorted. I will never use an OEM starter again if I ever need a new one.

This starter is amazing.

When used on my 6.5TD Optimizer H1 it starts up fast and furious. Be careful when tightening the screws. If the torque is incorrect, the starter frame will break. Another thing to watch out for if you have a hydroblock (from a leaking jet). This starter turns strong enough to bend the bar. Great product and love for quick and quick starts!

  • 1 year trial

Worth every penny!: Starter & Parts

First of all I've never heard of a 6.5 liter turbo diesel that performs with such power! I recently rebuilt a 6.5 liter diesel in my Suburban and bought this starter to finish the build and get to work. It's really cool that they moved the starter solenoid to the underside of the engine. You no longer need to replace the starter due to heat failure. You still need to use a support bracket for the back of the starter. But with an inverted design, it's easier. I will never buy anything else for…

I will never use OEM again!

This Powermaster 9052 revs my 6.5 liter diesel like a small 4 cylinder engine! This thing really improved my morning cold starts by revving the engine high enough to make engine starts easier. This suction cup also weighed about half the weight of my stock anchor starter, which had slow starting issues even with my dual battery setup. It was probably one of the best purchases I've made in a while and I haven't had any issues for 2 months. They even ship the starter with a small dyno sheet for…
