6-1/8-Inch HSS Jointer Knives for Ridgid JP0610 by POWERTEC - Set of 3 Review

My brother in law has a used surface planer that will flatten an already flat board. I installed it and put those blades in and now that suction cup smooths perfectly! The boards suck a little when you take them off the gouging machine. I've spent hours grinding up some coarse walnut slices I have around the house and they're still sharp. Great product for this money. Double sided would be good, but the price still suits me.

I purchased these planer blades in November 2019 and they have already snapped badly after just running a couple poplar planks through them. Keep in mind that I'm not a professional, so these blades are not used regularly or even weekly. In all, I put about 64 feet of poplar and 8 feet of cherry through them before most likely having to replace or sharpen them. I just can't recommend them at the moment.

The price is fantastic. I'd say I use my jointer 10 times a year at most, but when my last few blades got bent it was nice to have a cheap alternative to add to. I was really impressed with how well they cut and after a few jobs I checked the blades and they still seem as sharp as when I put them in. I gave 3 stars for ease of installation, but small dresser blades are always problematic to install.

Received this today and installed it on my 0452 Grizzly. They're only a hair's breadth from factory knives, but they fit very well. I have used these Powertec jointer blades on my Ridgid JP0610 and they have changed me. I bought my grouting machine used and wasn't getting very good results so I decided to clean the cast iron as well as all the blades. Upon further evaluation, I noticed that no sharpening would fix the knives. So I bought her.
