Economical, high quality pushers.

I bought these pushrods to replace the ones I made. They met all my expectations in terms of part control, especially grip and thickness. Highly recommend them if you are looking for a great shop tool.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • So far so good

Very handy safety devices

These pushers are great in my opinion. They are thin enough to fit between the fence and blade for narrow ripping cuts and keep your hands off the blade. They also help hold the workpiece on the table while sawing.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I will add later

Everyone should buy or make pull handles, just buy them

Simple, elegant design. Affordable, which is good because I consider pusher tools to be consumables. Buying through Amazon is almost faster and cheaper than buying and certainly more convenient. I will buy more of these when they wear out.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • So-so

I bought these pushrods a while back but I have one.

I bought these pushers a while ago but haven't used them yet. I tested the pushers on a 3″ wide, 1″ thick board with the table saw off and found my hand was too close to the saw blade for comfort. I plan to only use these push rods on wider boards.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some cons

Slim and disposable

I love this pusher style/shape. These particular ones don't have grip pads so I have to make sure they don't slide to the sides, but they are very thin, perfect for cutting 1/8 inch wide strips for tray dividers. And they are cheap and disposable. , so if they inevitably run across the blade, it's fine.

Pros
  • This is amazing

Very nice shape and useful for cutting near a fence

These are very nice shapes as they allow you to apply both forward and downward pressure on the piece to be cut. They're very thin, so they're good for cutting something small that's near a fence. For larger items, it's better to have something more permanent, or use both.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Just in case my homemade pushers are sawn

I make most of my pushers out of 2x6 stock or plywood. I wanted something to stay under the saw, so if I was in the middle of something and realized I needed to make new ones for some reason, they would be available so I didn't have to stop working to make a new set of pushers . . I've bought several styles and this guy works, I didn't like ANY of the simple rods ahead. You push forward and down what you need.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • Security

Safety first! for electrics

When I opened the box and saw it for the first time I wasn't impressed. They were smaller than I expected. However, when I used them, I found that they were perfect for what I needed. When I'm working on a band saw, I can use it to make small cuts and control them. When I'm cutting on a table saw I seem to have good control and these little guys keep my hand tight off the blade. I would say that this is the job they are meant for. I'm happy with them.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Reliable
