🔧 Premium POWERTEC 71358 Guide Rail Connector Set: Festool, Makita, DeWalt, Triton - Pack of 2 Review

Robust and well made. They work great with my Festool instructions. The only difference between them and Festool connectors is that they use hex set screws whereas Festool connectors use set screws with a simple blade screwdriver.

I recently bought a Makita chainsaw and a second guide (55 inch 194368-5). I dared and I'm glad I did. Back then, Makita wanted $45 for their car, that was $14! I got this and it worked great. It's well made, easy to use, powerful and accurate. It connected the two 55 inch lanes perfectly and was dead straight. It worked so well I couldn't imagine buying a Makita kit for triple the price.

When I first ordered the rail connector it was great. I use it on my Makita chainsaw bars and they fit great. I have a different gauge so I decided to order the same plugs but this time the plug was missing 3 set screws. Additionally, it had a different hex size so I couldn't use the same hex wrench, which was a little annoying. Overall, this is a great product if you have the appropriate adjusting screws, and it's $10 cheaper than a single Makita plug.

Hi guys this is a quality connector set. I plan to make some chainsaw attachments with these. I can use it with Dewalt Track thanks to a reviewer who already knew about it :) What made me more interested in buying it was the thread size of the nuts. Inside! It's M6-1.0, in other words, 6mm x 1.0 bolts will work with this if you plan on multiple jigs for your chainsaw.

Bought them for me to experiment with. I have a chainsaw and a set of two 55 inch Powertec guides. Love her by the way. I was going to use them to make square rails, which I still plan to do, but what I did was cut one of these in half and use these parts to modify the Festool rail mount and mount for the MFT3. After looking for a Dewalt OEM connector that only returned UK sources which included exorbitant postage/duties on top of the high cost of the item I decided to give these Powertec units a try. Instead of a Dewalt connector about $50, they cost about $8.19 each.
