I have been buying the exact same item for over 3 years. So far I have been very satisfied with the product. I don't know why anyone would use hard rocks anymore. The Petal Discs are MUCH faster and the cost increase over Hard Rock is negligible. Store-bought materials are relatively cheap, TIME is precious, anything that improves productivity is at least worth a look. I always have at least one grinder with one of these petal discs in it. Very useful product with good durability. I've used this to remove rust, clean welds and do some metal work (steel, haven't tried it on aluminum yet). At 40 grit it cuts very quickly, doesn't get as hot as a grinding wheel and offers better control/smoother finish.
