Description of Efficient Slicing and Julienne with Prepworks by Progressive Adjust-A-Slice Mandoline - Simplify Your Prep Work!

Get perfect, even slices of carrots, onions, zucchini, tomatoes, kiwi and apples. Flip the knob to pop up the julienne blades and cut zucchini for stir-fry or carrots for garnish. Sliding button adjusts between 3 thicknesses: thin, medium and thick. Non-skid base and ridges keep mandoline slicer stable on cutting surface and allow for use over a bowl. Dishwasher safe, hand wash for best results.

This gadget works! good for kitchen utensils and gadgets

I've had it for 8 months now and use it for slicing potatoes (not carrots - they're too hard), chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes etc. BUT - VERY IMPORTANT - I recommend getting a glove blade guard as the food grab that comes with it doesn't work very well and will leave unwanted holes in the food. The gloves protected my hands and allowed me to fully chop or julienne most or all of the food. I made the mistake of not using the guard, even with the grapple, and almost every time I paid for…

Yes! It's spicy! for rubbing

I have high hopes for that. I love that everything is in one piece - a slice and a slice of julienne can be positioned on 3 wide blades. No need to juggle between different discs, trying to find a place for extra discs and a basket. It can be easily kept on hand to be used when needed without additional preparation. The only problem is hand protection. It's uncomfortable, doesn't grip the veg well, and because of the gap between the top of the veg and the blade, your fingers are at risk when…

Decent for a few uses, then completely useless

Works well enough as long as the tablet stays springy to calibrate. I ordered one and after only a few (literally one or two) uses it stopped resizing. The tray simply stayed in the locked position even when the security switch was moved. I sent it in for an exchange and found it was defective. The second came, worked fine, but after a few times the same thing happened again. They are practically useless once the tray is no longer adjustable. I'm pretty sure the plastic is too cheap to keep its

Works well: kitchen and dining room

Very much like it overall; It's very easy to switch between different settings, and I love that there's a "locked" save setting too. I mainly use it for slicing carrots and it works like a pro. The only drawback is the small plastic guide that comes with the kit (small separate part). I found this little piece very awkward to use, and since it's made of plastic, it's possible for bits of plastic to get into your food if it comes into contact with the blade. So I use a blade without a guide and…

The perfect mandolin. No fuss or hassle.

This is my first mandolin so I'm no expert but it's awesome. I hate the hassle and won't use anything if I have to disassemble it or hand wash it etc. This mandolin is made for those who, like me, love light and simple implements without the fuss and still get results. Again, this is my first job so can't compare the results, but I like to thinly slice watermelon radish and other foods for garnish and plates (see used mandolin, but it's all done in a minute) . You don't have to remove the…

Make POTATOES, zucchini, whole onions, cucumbers and more.

I love this product! It makes potatoes! I'm low carb and high in fat so I don't need potatoes but my husband loves them. It is excellent for julienne on zucchini and yellow zucchini. And julienne works well on a whole round onion. When you cut the squash into strips, remember that unless you're slicing that part with a knife, only the skin is the first cut. A trifle is also great for pickles! EASY cleaning, especially if you have a sprayer on your sink, high pressure water will clean it in 10…

Design flaw - limited use on large fruit/veg

I already have an OXO mandolin set that I like and use quite a bit. However, the set is limited by the thickness of the slices, so I bought it because of the good reviews and because it was small (didn't give me more than I needed, which is an adjustable thickness slicer). Unfortunately, there appear to be two design flaws in the thing. First, the mandolin has a ridge at the very end, so whatever you're cutting, whether it's a large vegetable or fruit, will hit the edge. Think of sweet potatoes
