Short service life with this

The unit worked for just over 6 months before it broke down. This can be a good delay until you buy the device from an auto parts store.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • -

Is the oil pressure sensor working or not?

Still working after 1 month. Others I've bought from other vendors have failed within 2 weeks of installation. I cross my fingers

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN: Oil Pressure Tools

I bought 2 of these and 1 from another seller. All were slightly different in style from the factory. another seller. Then I read about not over tightening them. I admit I was just cranking them up. So I bought a third one and tightened it up to 12 ftlbs and it worked great for 6 months.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Minor issues

Cheap sensor. Works well but not for long

The oil pressure sensor has been working again for a few months. So far so good Well I've only had it for about 2 months. From June to August and it hasn't let me down. I might try again as the guy in a review said he put it on 12 flb and I might try 2 stars for 2 months for now. If the next one takes longer I will change my review.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are minuses

Works great in my truck.

Purchased for my 2001 Ram 2500 24v Cummins. I had to use a 32mm socket to remove the old one and use a 1 1/16" socket to install this new one. I was skeptical because of the huge difference in head sizes between old and new but this part has worked great so far and I've read that the oil pressure is the same as the old one before it failed and the price was fantastic. I will update this review if this part ever fails.

Pros
  • Great Construction
Cons
  • Reliability

Failed in less than 10,000 miles

I bought one because it really punches and is cheap. The Cummins part has been changed to a "switch" meaning it only reads the center of the sensor, just like a dumb light. The Cummins part costs $179 or more depending on where you buy it. I installed this part and it failed within 10,000 miles. I'll check the warranty but I want something that will stay fixed. I don't need the practice of fitting a few faulty parts.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled
