Great fridge timer with magnet

Starting with 5 stars. (Reduced to 4, see update below). I chose this as part of my morning coffee brewing ritual as I prefer immersion broth like French Press and like to have 4 minutes to spare. Then I took the Aeropress and the time was 2 minutes. Then I realized that the beep is loud and lasts a long time before I give up, meaning it's better than syncing events to my microwave and then not hearing them. So when I put something in the oven I use this timer. And it's portable so I can take…

  • Comfortable

Don't pay too much attention to this timer

FIRST CHECK: You will need a tiny screwdriver to install the batteries. There are four screws in the 1/8 inch holes. There are better ways to gain access to the battery bays, but apparently the Chinese engineers haven't figured them out yet. The screws are Phillips and recessed about 1/4 inch. The battery is an AAA UPDATE: Well, I was wrong. It was only after using it that I realized that you need to lift the magnet/clip to access the battery compartment slider which is partially hidden…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

LOVE this timer for kitchen utensils and gadgets

LOVE this timer! The main reason I bought it was for my spouse. It's loud enough for my partially deaf husband to hear even in the next room; Controls are easy to use; and standard size AAA batteries are easily accessible and replaceable. It can stand like an easel, clip to clothing, or fit snugly to a refrigerator or range/hood. The magnet is big enough and strong enough for it, unlike most I've tried. After having the first one for a short while, I turned around and immediately ordered four…

Inexpensive, works great

This lightweight, simple digital timer works just like other devices in its class. Program the countdown by pressing the minute and second buttons. Reset the timer by pressing the minute and second buttons at the same time. Start the countdown by resetting the timer, then press "Start". This timer is taped to the magnetic board in my home office and I usually use it as a countdown timer while I run. It has a large, readable display that I can see from across the room. The call is loud and…

Pros
  • Great workmanship
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Preston and Taylor Electronic Timers We have used the Presto electronic timer for many years and love it. When turned on, it was loud enough to get your attention even if you weren't in the same room. After many years he finally gave up, so in June 2013 we ordered another Presto from Revain. It also worked great, but for a little over a year it was difficult to set the time and turn it on. The buttons didn't want to work. I know the lifespan of a modern 1 year lost cost item is pretty amazing…

Pros
  • Great for a small home

  • A bit worn
