Make no mistake with Primoflex.

I will return this and hope someone who can appreciate it gets because I accidentally bought 1/2"OD instead of 1/2"ID. switched to Primochill's PrimoFlex hoses in 2013 and has been my favorite hose ever since. It's smooth, stretchy, easy to work with and looks great. I was looking for my favorite color (Atomic UV Green) but it seems to have gotten a bit more difficult lately so I decided to compromise by buying a transparent color. As I mentioned at the beginning of the review, I made a noob…

Pros
  • understandable even for old people
Cons
  • Exorbitant piggy bank

Preferred 3/8 x 5/8

I have been using 3/8 x 5/8 in for several years and have never given it a second thought. Works, doesn't drip. But this time I decided to try 3/8 x 1/2 inch. I actually like it more. It's much easier to put on fittings and dissipates a little more heat on its own since it's thinner. The downside is that after a while it gets a little harder to remove from the fittings. I think this is because it cracks from temperature flux and, being thinner, tends to stick to the fitting. Actually not bad…

Works great - very good soft hose for water cooling enthusiasts

Switched to this soft hose from EK to see if it would help PrimoChill VUE to get stuck/fall out. Initial use of the VUE failed within 2-3 days and discolored, I ran it again for over a month after a full flush + cleaning + prep and a PrimoFlex tube and the tube only fogged up slightly. Will not discolor or stick to tank, CPU or GPU blocks. This tube is slightly narrower than the EK with the same ID and OD.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some issues

One of the best tubes

This tube does not bleed plasticizer like other tubes. I've read reports of water cooling tubes turning yellow after a few months, but with these tubes in my system for about 7 months I haven't noticed any color change or any issues. I use pure distilled water in my circuit and cleaned my three radiators prior to installation so it might have something to do with that.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Compatibility
