The best pencils! for drawing

They were recommended by my art teacher and I can see why! They have vibrant colors, blend easily and if you sharpen them you don't have to sharpen as much to get the result you want. These pencils are comfortable to hold and come with a nice carrying case. Pencil coating will not be erased by hand when drawing. I love his brand very much and will not buy any other brand again.

Pros
  • Like everyone else so far
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Expensive but my favourite.

It's quite expensive, but for me, if you're serious about using beautiful colors, this is my go-to choice. They mix beautifully and blend beautifully. You don't have to press hard to get the color you want. The only other pencils I use for some variations are watercolor pencils, which are just as fun. Be VERY careful not to drop them as this will break the leash. I "think" that there are some colors like yellow etc available from open stock.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Neutral

LOVE this Best in Drawing

I started using regular crayons and adult coloring books and found it helps me so much to relax. So my addiction grew and I started drawing freehand with colored pencils. I really like these Prismacolors. They blend easily and the pen tips don't break as easily as the cheaper ones. I love that there are at least 3 different shades of multiple colors for the highlight, base and shadow. The colors are beautiful and easy to blend. You will probably serve me for many years.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Terrible craftsmanship and I received a broken pencil

I bought these pencils after reading the reviews and seeing a video of someone using them. It was a gift for my husband and unfortunately turned out to be a big disappointment There were literally three strands of black hair in a metal container. I also got a cracked pencil and the other one was lumpy. Considering the price of these pens I don't think they were worth it. All the tips were blunt I believe from hitting a metal can.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons

Great pencils/poor shipping packaging

I have used Prismacolor pencils for many years. My mentor taught me how to use them and used them on basically all of his artwork. Unfortunately when I received them they came in a padded bag and were bent (see picture). None of the pencils were damaged, but I could not have given this gift to anyone if I had wanted to. Again, Prismacolor is the BEST pen because it has a soft pen and is easy to mix and match. I couldn't give this order 5 stars. due to the curved front and back. packaging…

Pros
  • Arts, crafts and sewing
Cons
  • No work

The Best Pencils I've Used In 44 Years

You can't go wrong with Prismacolor products. I first started using premium pencils in 1976 and the quality has remained the same to this day. I recently tried a cheaper brand and the coverage and color accuracy just wasn't worth the hassle of using them. The color applies perfectly and the coverage level can be easily adjusted depending on the desired density or delicacy or lightness of the color. They mix easily. I've given away Prismacolor pencils many times over the decades, and almost…

Amazing purchase at Drawing Media

I have wanted these crayons for a long time and the only reason I held back was because of the price. Don't get me wrong, the price is far from super expensive. Thing is, where I live I can buy a set of 50 Crayola crayons for about $5. Crayola may be cheap, but when I use it over watercolor it doesn't look as pretty. What really convinced me to just do it was an Instagram artist using Prismacolors on brown paper. The colors looked so amazing and blended really well that I was dying to try them…
