Expensive but I can definitely see the difference! For what it's worth, if you appreciate vinyl enough to own a ProJect TT, why not get all you can. With my half price vinyl finds, I could immediately hear less pop/hiss and a richer tone. I could hear more low frequencies on the new vinyl, which made my albums more "solid" in a way. I'm happy with the purchase, it has some weight and does what it's supposed to.

Well it's nice but expensive. So I played a few records with it. Is it worth? Yes. Did it add some bass? Yes. Did playing deformed albums help? Easy. I think it depends on what you're playing through. I play a red Project Carbon Ortofon, a Marantz SR-7011 phono stage with Kilpsch Heresy III speakers. Worth it for me. Very nice storage box and well made puck, but save your money and go for the Audio-Technica puck at 1/3 the price. The AT washer is heavier and has some style. This is a well made paperweight for display purposes only. If you are trying to decorate your turntable, this is your product. If you want to listen to the best sound quality vinyl and still not get robbed, look elsewhere. Needless to say I returned this puck after realizing I had made a very poor decision which I immediately corrected.

The puck is well made and attractive and comes in a beautiful and beautifully designed box. It's heavy (1lb 12oz) but it's absolutely no problem for my turntable - the weight is on the bottom and the turntable isn't trying to lift the platter, it's trying to rotate the platter around a horizontal plane, so the weight of the Puck isn't really a problem.
