I am doing a large cross stitch project and have had trouble finding scissors that stay sharp to cut the threads. My mom gave it to me for Christmas and I love it. The thread scissors are fantastic - very sharp and easy to hold and use. The scissors are excellent - heavy and sharp.

These things work great and are pretty handy, my favorite part is the little scissors I use all the time. The only downside is that the steel is very cheap and there are a lot of micro notches on the edge. It hasn't affected the quality of the cut yet but I believe it will soon and I'm not sure if I should sharpen them or just upgrade now that I know I sew regularly.

This is not for the faint hearted. These are large scissors that will cut through any fabric you put in front of them. I bought 10 inches, which is larger than the fabric/hobby store size. I tend to fold my fabrics when I cut them so I can make masks/aprons/hats/scrubs etc. They are perfectly sharp and balanced. Blades and comfortable handles. I had a Wiss upholstery scissors that got lost when moving and feels exactly the same. The only difference is that Wiss scissors cost over $50.

At around $11, these scissors are a steal. As stated in the instructions, they come with a protective coat of oil on the blades. They are packaged in a reusable cardboard storage box with reusable plastic sleeves for scissors and thread cutters. They fondly remind me of my grandmother's old school scissors.
