Progressive Prep Works Colander Selected Review

Ideal for washing berries and other small fruits. Also good for drying small portions of vegetables etc. We used this as a replacement for a similar one we bought about 15 years ago which was beginning to crack from daily use.

I have had a berry strainer for a few years. Ideal for strawberries stored on fruit traction. I bought another one because I needed another one to keep the blackberries fresher longer. I put it on the top shelf of the dishwasher.

Purchased to replace a screen that has given up the ghost after many years of service. The size is perfect, the plastic looks strong and high quality. The expectations of this article are high. The only downside, and a small one at that, is the lack of color choices. I would have liked red better, but ended up purple.

This is the third colander I've bought. One of my first two original screens finally got dusty after a YEAR of daily use. It broke at the corners where the silicone was bent; For a while that wasn't a problem because it's a screen after all and it must have holes. But in the end it cracked too much to save. I was happy to find another exactly the same to change the order. When folded, the colander is quite small and fits perfectly in a kitchen drawer.

Who came up with this team, the genius! I have a regular colander for rinsing pasta and the like. To flush a pint of blackberries, I would typically use a bowl, tilt it and use my hand to keep the berries from falling out. (There have always been some who have committed suicide!) But this little strainer takes up little space and opens up to just the right size for a pint of berries, or if you're making a large container of strawberries you might have to make two batches.
