This was perfect for a trip where I was using a padded roof rack on my SUV that only had side pillars. I used it from the front to serve as a front horizontal bar. Holds tight and works great.

Good for sticking anything on your car roof! No need to fiddle with hooks. Easy to use. Really don't tie anything down, just use common sense.

I used this strap to "train" the futon mattress to develop a curve so it doesn't slide down when you sit on the futon in couch mode . The ratchet is on the bottom where it is not visible and a small fold in the futon cover hides the strap on the top. I think I could use a rope to do the same thing, but I could never tighten it like this ratchet does.

Can't say much about the ratchet strap other than it's a strap and ratchet. I like the endless ones more than the ones with hooks at the ends. This one is good because it's 16 feet long. The only problem I had was that the rubber grip on one of the straps I bought didn't attach properly to the underlying metal structure, nothing could be attached with a small tab of construction glue. I would buy it again.

I bought two of these ratchets and am happy with them. I use them to attach an extension ladder to the trunk of my car. So far, they have traveled several hundred kilometers on the stairs in the last few months. I would recommend not leaving them out in the rain. I did this with one of them and it started to rust a bit. So now I take them off wherever I go as soon as I arrive and leave them in the car until I move again.

Amazing product - exactly as advertised. We live in a terraced house and one of our fences rests plainly against the neighboring yard. I didn't want to pay for a new fence so I bought one of these bad boys, wrapped it around the patio and fence and it worked great. I liked this product because it was just a ratchet and material. - There were no catches. It was just what I needed and appears to be of good quality and durability.

If you have things that don't easily loop, that's no problem as the strap doesn't become a loop until you put one end of the strap through the ratchet. As long as you don't thread the strap through the ratchet, it's just a strap with nothing (no hooks) on one end and a ratchet on the other end. You wrap it around the load and then put the end in the ratchet and it becomes a loop. Just so you know what it is! The lack of hooks means the compression of the nylon webbing holds the load.
