Delay Function: If the device encounters (electric power) voltage fluctuations, it will protect the appliance by providing the output until the voltage stabilizes. Best Value in Power Strips & Surge Protectors

After our fridge burned out due to a power surge I decided to invest in this surge protector for all my fridges and freezers. It appears to have the exact same components and configuration as more expensive devices, but with a transparent body. I won't know if it actually works and how it works until the next power outage, but at least I've made the effort and the status lights on the unit should let me know if a power "event" has occurred. My only caveat is that due to the limited space…

The best in this price range, but with some disadvantages (some of which can be significant)

Nice product. Contrary to the previous review, I have a standard 2 outlet US plug and both can be used with ease if you install it on the top outlet. The minimum undervoltage is 105V, which is probably normal. However, there is no overvoltage configuration. I believe the default is 140V, which is a lot for a fridge. Since the voltage in the US is 110 to 120V (hover), I would prefer a maximum deviation of 5% and leave the overvoltage at 130V, this is not possible with this device. The delay is…

Purchased for fridge to protect against surges during frequent power outages during recent storms. The refrigerator has just been repaired.
