So easy to change. This worked great on GE HotPoint R B787B H1BB.2 screws and 2 pins to remove. Make sure you turn off the switch or unplug before swapping them out, and don't let the two wires go back into the oven. There is some slack, but the wires tend to go back and behind the white insulation. It took me longer to get the tools and put them away than it did to install.

I'm a woman who has been waiting for my house warranty to come and fix an item in my oven. When I jumped through a lot of hoops with them and it still wasn't fixed after two and a half weeks, I looked up how to replace the element in the furnace on YouTube. It looked pretty easy so I ordered this part and installed it when it arrived. It works great and I actually cooked some in it last night!

The part arrived quickly and after watching a few YouTube videos on how to pull out the broken part and replace it with a new one it took about 5 minutes. When the oven was turned on, there was practically no odor and it disappeared within seconds. The only thing I would like are new bolts to hold the block in place. The ones holding the old part were a little worn, but not by much.

This element should be a direct replacement for the original heating element (WB 44K10005). It turns out that is not the case. The spacing between the screws was completely different and required drilling new holes. Also, the panel was much smaller than the original, leaving room to show the insulation. I had to make a new panel first and then attach the new element to the new panel. What should have taken 5 minutes took about 2 hours and required some judgment. Not a happy camper.

Great replacement product works great just have to be careful with my cooker the wires running through the oven wall at the back don't rub no protection to keep the wires around the metal no touch, wrap a piece of electrical shrink wrap around the wire before making the connections, and then place it over the connections. Before ordering a replacement element, turn off the power supply (I disconnected the 50A switch in the electrical box) and remove the old element to see the type of connections. I looked very carefully at the correct part number for my old GE JBS26 oven and bought it - but assuming they sent me exactly what I ordered, it's not compatible.
