Before ordering a replacement element, turn off the power supply (I disconnected the 50A switch in the electrical box) and remove the old element to see the type of connections. In my case the terminals were soldered (plugged in) and the element had a bend according to the picture shown. A ¼ wrench is required to remove the two mounting screws from the bracket. Very carefully remove the wires from each side and reattach to the new element, reverse the removal step and reinstall. After the mounting screws are securely fastened, reset the power supply.
