Smooth Strokes with Purdy Brushes

Purdy makes top-notch brushes. You apply color to what you draw. The angle is great for cutting into corners. Yes, they're more expensive than regular brushes, but they justify the cost of painting a room or piece of furniture. The bristles remain intact and do not fall off your object. My husband, who bought cheap disposable brushes before I started buying Purdy Brushes, praises them.

The best brush on the market!

I love this brush. I am a professional artist and I paint with acrylics. I use Purdy brushes for big strokes, fills, and when applying textures, moji, resin, etc. Oh, and the background! They don't bend over time. They can allow me to soak them in water for a long time without bending or falling apart. Nice clean thin line I can do with it. And I can fill a large area. It's very safe. It's worth it.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

  • Damaged

Extreme brush release

My experience with Purdy brushes has been excellent so far. This brush was part of an order for several Purdy Nylox brushes used to paint interior trim. The person who assembled this particular brush must have been part of a poorly organized OJT program or had a bad day. Unfortunately, the factory sticker came off the first time it was cleaned. The brush keeps losing bristles. If I keep using it, I'm left with nothing but a handle and a tip. Other purchased or owned Purdy bushes do not have…

Ideal for preventing brush marks when finishing

You pay big bucks for Purdy standalone brushes and this one is no exception. However, I installed a 4" x 4" rack that runs from my kitchen island countertop to the overhead soffit and has an exterior corner molding. I wanted to paint it to look almost as nice as the cabinets, which means I get a smooth finish and eliminate the small space between the cornices. Nylon did a great job. I've used it with Sherwin Williams ProClassic and it's been a great match. The brushstrokes are almost…

Purdy Nylox bushes are great!

Purdy's Nylox brushes are the best I have ever used. It "goes through the corners" very well, and they make such a thin line that you'll spend less time resorting to tape! They hold color well. The brush strokes are very thin and tend to "fade" as the paint dries. Latex paint is easy to clean - this is a quality brush, so clean it well and you'll be rewarded with years of DIY use, and your "cost per job" is the same as cheaper brushes that get dirty and wear out. quickly! They were recommended…

I spent money on paint, wall treatments and accessories

I spent money on this brush because I was overly trusting its high rating and the reviews mentioning bristles that are too soft and bristles falling when bad Grapes abolished. Outside. I painted the first bench onto five pre-primed chair slats, three inches wide and eight feet long. On the second part, I noticed that the bristles were hanging off the brush. It was uncomfortable, but it hurt my neck a lot when stubble appeared on the freshly painted surface. Have you ever tried to get the…
