Pylex 10830 Fixplak 44 deck connectors great

Had to install 4 x 4 posts on existing deck to reinforce some railings that were a little wobbly. These things held these bars in place better than the original bar mounts. Highly recommended. The day I rebuild this deck I will use it in all posts.

Pros
  • Building materials
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Use a stand that fits both the sides and the bottom.

Pretty easy to use, very long screws have to be used and still have problems with the strength of the post. If I had to do it again I would use brackets with sides so they can be connected from both the side and the bottom. I won't change them for now, they will be enough.

Pros
  • Handrail
Cons
  • Without automatic

Don't make a strong delicate splint.

If they are for a ground level patio or slightly raised they will probably fit. But if you are bigger or really need them to be strong, avoid this product. They feel a little wobbly on the go. But a powerful push, and the plate bends and bends. There just isn't enough steel to make them strong. This is a super thin metal. In the photos, I take a few steps back and then clumsily hit the bar. You just don't have the strength. I would be very surprised if they were code.

Pros
  • Railings and Slats
Cons
  • I don't remember
