🥧 9-Inch x 1.2-Inch Pyrex Glass Bakeware Pie Plate Review

I heard a crackle when baking a quiche in the oven at 350 degrees. It turns out all the dishes are broken and everyone had broken glass in my oven. This was his second use - both quiches for 350. So disappointed and now I can't get a refund unless I return it. nothing to give back.

Bought this to make a cake which turned out fantastic. The cake pan is as advertised, very durable and easy to clean. I've only used it once so far, but it didn't disappoint. I highly recommend it for the quality and the prices were reasonable. If I need another one, or as a gift for someone else, I'll buy it again. Thank you Donna

Most of my bakeware, kitchenware and storage containers are made from Pyrex. I love how easy they are to use (borosilicate glass means these products are heat shock resistant), store and clean. The design of most of their products is simple so it will go with whatever you have. The cake plates are just as great. I already had a deep pie stand (also Pyrex) and needed something shallower.

Not like my last 23cm Pyrex sheet I've used in years. They are not smooth on the inner "edge" - it's hard to describe, but there is a ridge on the inner edge - a "gap" that is very difficult to clean. I really don't want to leave them, so I'll try to give them back (I'm not good at giving things back) - if I miss them, I'll give these plates. The quality is not very good, I'm afraid to order more.

I love this 9" Pyrex cake stand. I had a hard time replacing my previous 9 inch cake topper from local stores. I could only find a 9.5" Pyrex, and sometimes that size was too big for the cakes I baked. I've lost many of them over the years to family and friends who forgot to return the cake plate after a meeting. Pyrex is dishwasher safe. Another bonus - I can see the bottom cake being baked. A win!

Perfect size cake stand. I would classify this as a medium sized cake that can be used in most recipes. A little less depth indeed, which is good because then you have well-filled cakes! I love this oven and use it all the time. I've never had a single explosion. At the same time, glass cake stands should only be used by those who love cake and prepare it well. They don't really bake most cakes evenly, and metal plates are far more useful for making great cakes. That's my opinion, not a fact…

My need for a new Pyrex disc is atypical. I already have a very heavy, thick Pyrex baking pan which I use for its intended purpose of baking cakes. A few years ago I bought a second, more modern plate (but still made the old way) at a thrift store to use as a cat bowl. The size and shape of this plate is perfect for this purpose as it is easy to clean and the beveled edges keep the food in the plate without the cat's whiskers touching anything - cats don't like their whiskers touching anything…
