Much better than the original lids that came with the containers. These are really hermetically sealed. Of course, getting off can be a problem. Just don't try to rip them off when you take them out of the freezer! Let it warm up to room temperature or put the container in hot water for a while. This won't damage the pyrex sheet, but it will help keep the lids intact.

So glad I found these Pyrex replacement glass bowl lids for storage. I have had bowls for many years and have made the mistake of putting lids on the top rack of our dishwasher. This caused them to become worn and cracked over time due to the high temperature in the wash cycle. Now I don't have to toss old glass bowls in the trash or get stuck with bowls with no lids. The price for 4 replacement caps was reasonable. Good to know I will have more in the future if needed.

I bought these to replace some of the lids on a set of 2 Anchor containers that I have. I have a number of Pyrex containers with similar lids and they have been fine, but all of the Anchor lids have cracked and splintered after normal use, as have the Pyrex lids. I bought these as the Anchor jar was still good and it was a lot cheaper to spend $8 replacing the lids than buying a new set of jars.
