I wish it was deeper, not just wide. Using an electric hand mixer in this case is almost impossible because even on the lowest setting, everything just splashes from above.

Very nice for mixing things up and having a tight lid to put the whole bowl in the fridge. Pyrex makes strong and durable kitchenware, and you can even get replacement lids for most things, although I didn't see one for this bowl. I just love having a lid that can be closed and I don't have to fiddle with plastic wrap etc when I have to put the bowl in the fridge.

This is my most used bowl. I have 2 of them, one is over 20 years old. Now that they come with lids, they're even more useful! The bowl is great for bread or pizza dough that rises. The bowls are large enough to hold a potato salad made from an entire 5 pound bag of potatoes. The bowls are great for large salads of all kinds and are a good size for mixing pie batter or using for popcorn. These are superbowls that I use all the time!

I love this bowl! It is ideal for mixing food and storing in the fridge. So far I've stored cookie dough and salsa in it. This is a very large and transparent jar making it easy to see the contents without opening the lid and it can even be used in the microwave. It's perfect for making cupcakes as you can melt butter or coconut oil in the microwave, in the same bowl you use to mix the rest of the ingredients. I love my!

I had to buy this replacement cup which was part of a set of four Pyrex cups, it's a set of 4 to 1 quart cups and it's exactly the same as the one I broke. These Pyrex bowls are simple but very practical, and the lids are an added bonus. They are great for making a large batch of cookie dough or even pizza dough. Difficult. but it does its job! I make a "super salad" daily and it gives me the perfect size and shape for both the amount of food I eat and for shaking and spreading the dressing and then eating. Not so tall that it bothers me when eating with a fork, but not so wide that it can't be stored on a shelf. It's a bit heavy and I'm afraid I'll drop it and break it into a million pieces. This 4 liter Pyrex bowl was just what I needed. I have had a three piece bowl for many years and it has held up beautifully.
