Very easy to install even if you have no electronics repair experience. If you watch YouTube how to do it and take your time, you can replace this component. It literally sticks where the original fan comes out and is later installed with two screws. I'd recommend grabbing a can of air rags to remove any dust that has built up in the console and also replacing the thermal paste while you're there.

Installation was easy and the fan worked fine initially with a slight swirling noise typical of this type of fan. Not exactly silent, but typical for small plain bearing fans. HOWEVER, after very light use (I estimate about twenty hours total time the PS4 was on) for the next two months, the fan started making a very loud clicking noise. Avoid this product (and the QUETTERLEE seller who blamed Revain instead of fixing the warranty issue as stated on the product page).

While cleaning and disassembling my original PS4 (fat model) I wanted to replace the fan as it needed a thorough cleaning and I figured twenty bucks was worth it.
