Coils did the trick for coil packs

Used to replace coils on my 2008 Honda Sport Fit for 2 weeks. Very easy to swap out, no problems so far. Drives quietly, the engine no longer jerks. Will be updated later.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Out of style

Maybe for the rest of your life.

Almost a year has passed. One of the blocks broke right out of the box. The rest lived about a year. Now I'm back and replacing them and 2 of them went their separate ways to remove them. I don't think I'll save anything in the long run by using them and you run the risk of failing. It would only be good for end of life use.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Expensive

It's been five months and they fail.

I've been working for five months but now I'm throwing away all the misfire codes I had before. At the same time, new spark plugs were installed and I checked them for ok. When I checked everything yesterday, the coil tube came loose as well as one of the other O-rings. They don't stick together well and I'd like a replacement. Please advise.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Modernity

After replacing the coils, the motor runs like new.

Arrived on time and packaged very well. It took 20 minutes to install on my Honda Fit 07. I'm not a mechanic, but I know how to use tools. My car has 145,000 miles, original coils and spark plugs. I got lost during the run. After changing the spark plugs it got better. After replacing the coils, the motor runs like new.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Fits

Took a year and a half. Buy when penniless.

I bought it in May 2017. Two of them burned down today. For the price that suits me but be aware that they separate more easily than other coils. I had removed the rubber base inside the cylinder and needed toothpicks and pliers to get it out. If you're broke like me, go crazy over them and upgrade whenever you can and before they die for you. If not, get an OEM or a more trusted brand.

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Nothing

Made a huge difference and they work great.

It was hard to believe the difference in price between buying and installing from a dealer or workshop or doing it yourself. There were offers from 2 to 400 for labor and 200 to 400 dollars for coils. Installed them on a $60 quick grease point because I was too cold to do it myself. It took 15 minutes. It's easy to do it yourself. Even if they only last half as long as OEM parts, the savings are worth it.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • A few little things

Honda Fit for Ignition Parts 2007

The machine was behaving strangely, shaking, almost dying and sneezing but not quite dying. I wasn't sure what was wrong so I googled for some time. Went to the dealer and paid a bunch of money for a 100,000 mile check which they recommended would fix the problem but still didn't fix the problem. Googled 10 more times and decided to give it a try. Bought and replaced and it's been day and night for my car. Works perfectly. Cheap and easy and has cured all my car sicknesses. Highly recommended

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Took 18 months (edited: never again!)

Bought 4 packs. the first just failed at 18 months. Definitely not an OEM, but if you know what you're doing and you're broke, it's worth it. EDIT: After another coil failed I bought an OEM and replaced it. When I tried to remove #3 it fell to pieces into the recessed hole where my spark plugs live. I've just spent the last 2 hours using needle nose pliers, toothpicks, and styptic tweezers to pick out enough plastic so I can get a spark plug socket. over the fork and pull it out.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • So far so good

The boot got stuck on the spark plug after a year.

A year later the misfires started again so I decided to pull out the coil packs and check the spark plugs. The first one I tried to pull out got so stuck that I spent hours trying to rip the boot out piece by piece. A pack of four of these reels costs less than a pack of one reel from a single popular brand. But even if you're broke I wouldn't recommend them. If you dare anyway, grab some dielectric grease and apply it liberally to the spark plug (but not the metal tip) and the outside of the…
