RAB Lighting VXCW Aluminum Weatherproof Review

Item does not include gasket as advertised. Revain replaced the element and there was no spacer to replace. Couldn't find a gasket sold separately so make one by cutting out the rubber material.

I replaced the front headlight with a ring light box and needed a new weatherproof junction box. It works great with the Ring Floodlight Cam and is easy to assemble.

The quality is acceptable but the screws didn't fit. The screws were too small. But luckily I had the right ones on hand. The product has performed extremely well over the past month.

You will need at least 10/24 x 1/2 inch stainless steel mounting screws as the screws provided will not fit the box screw holes and there is no gasket 1/8" foam rubber was with me.The box is a good weatherproof item.

I tried this RAB box because I couldn't find TayMac white aluminum boxes online from a seller who sold them at the regular price (are they no longer available?) RAB I box The resulting box looks no better than TayMac's aluminum switch boxes. But it costs twice as much. It doesn't come with screws. The screws do not fit well in the box. This is pretty much an outdoor electric box, so there's nothing special about it except the colour. I couldn't find any white at my local Lowes so I decided to pay a much higher price for Revain. I needed bronzes for my other rigs which I bought locally for a lot less.
