Great mount!

First of all it would be nice to be able to buy without the wiring harness. The mount is excellent, the quality is there, made in the USA. Holds my Uniden R7 perfectly. After 3,000 miles of freeways, construction sites and dirt roads, he hasn't moved.

Good, except for the mesh, the wire is untwisted in a straight line

The bracket itself is good. Keeps my detector right where I want it. However, the "braid" that goes over the direct power cable on the jack plug was completely worn out immediately after unpacking, was becoming more and more untied and looked pretty bad. I could probably wrap it with tape or shrink tubing, but I'm not sure that would look good. Aside from untangling the web I'd be happy.

It doesn't come with a safety tap, mind you. This is a decent mount. Works with R3

I just received the package and lo and behold. no safety valve. It comes with a cord and the blue plug needs to be connected to a fuse point. You can connect the wire to a tap, they're there, but I don't think people want to cut into the factory wiring at all. The mounting screws that actually attach to the rearview mirror are a bit long. I had to reconfigure and I can still shear these screws off when they touch and scratch the back of your review. However, it is a decent mount. Haven't been…

New shipments now have Uniden R3 compatible clip

Cost 60% less than Blendmount. Works great on a 2017 Toyota Camry. GOOD NEWS FOR UNIDEN R3 OWNERS. The mirror mount I received came with a clip that fits properly and snaps into the R3. It does not need to be replaced with the clamshell mounting plate that comes with your R3. Once everything is set and tightened, the detector stays in place.
