Not a bad PSU for the money, but a noisy cooling solution

In general, a decent PSU, but you have to pay attention to the noise level. When the AMD A10 7850k and RX 570 are running each game, the fan runs at a very loud level. This is perhaps the noisiest component on the computer, so far it hasn't had any trouble shutting down, although I give it a three out of five overall.

Wouldn't recommend buying Aresgame if you're looking for affordable

. I bought the 400w version and that only has six extra pins. There is practically no difference between them. These power supplies will work, but are not suitable for long-term solutions or installations with higher power requirements. I recommend the ARESGAME power supply instead if you're looking for a good deal. I wouldn't risk my good equipment there. They are better than the Apevia but still an unreliable unit.

Extremely Loud - Computers and Accessories

The unit was easy to install, but as soon as it was turned on it ran at full speed and was so loud that it drowned out the TV next to it. Replaced it with another brand and the PS was completely disabled which confirmed to me it was the Raidmax PSU and not a problem with the computer.

This PSU worked great

I bought this for a computer I'm building for my nephew. It has a PCIe 6+2 plus 6 pin connector (essentially 2 6 pin or in other words 8 pin plus 6 pin). I bought an old AMD r9 390 off ebay to build (paired with a Ryzen 1600 AF) and it's actually quite capable. Pretty much every test I've run (nearly 20 games) has found the GPU to be the same as the AMD 580 8GB GPU I have. 390 is a power hungry GPU and this PSU works great in it. I ran a series of synthetic tests with the GPU and CPU…
