Works perfect. Until it works!

This was my first experience with a modular power supply and I love it. It's not fully modular and I'm fine with that because I didn't want to pay extra money for this feature. I have a Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini-ITX case and this PSU makes a huge difference in cable management. My only complaint is that the large fan doesn't spin faster. My PSU is set to pull air out of my case (there is no proper exhaust in my Mini-ITX case) and it doesn't pull much air, just enough to cool the unit itself.

Pros
  • Premium black mesh braided cable; Sturdy black matte finish
Cons
  • Not as good as it says it is

READ FIRST! The 5V voltage dropped to around 4.7V which caused problems with the internal DVD writer NOT reading or writing DVDs. It took me a while to figure it out! The only way to restore power was to disconnect some of the internal components like a couple of RAID disks and voila, the DVD burner was working properly again! them with the same results. I need to replace this PSU and it only has a 1 year warranty so I'm screwed unless Raidmax makes an exception. As you know, as I mentioned…

Pros
  • Hexflo honeycomb cutouts for maximum airflow
Cons
  • unreliable

Excellent power supply

I recently had a 700w Raidmax PSU that still works. I needed a different power supply for another desktop I was building so I decided to buy it from Revain as the price compared to Newegg was cheaper (sorry Newegg) and I didn't need another 700W. Since I've switched to modular power supplies, I want to keep these. This one is nice because it's modular, I just wish it had more rails. Even though from what I've read there are people who have had problems with Raidmax, I haven't had any problems…

Pros
  • 6 4-pin Molex ATX connectors; 4 SATA ports; 2 x 4 pin floppy connectors
Cons
  • Almost never

The only PSU I sell

All my custom builds get this. I carry spares for almost every desktop PSU failure. Of course, the old XP box just needs a cheap $20,300W PSU. Do you want to upgrade the drives in this box to SATA? Not without an adapter! Stuck in that old dustbin? With this Raidmax you only lay the cables that you need. Want a more powerful graphics card? You will need it. Save energy? These are more efficient. You may be paying a little more now, but your utility bill will thank you every month. To shave or…

Pros
  • 530W total output
Cons
  • Not much to complain about that, everything is fine
