The problem is that they don't close at the tip - to the point where they won't snag on a fishhook. So they might be ok if you don't need to close them completely, but to me they don't even deserve the 1 star minimum.
These are regular pliers. You have trouble crimping small to medium sized hooks. But I'm good at crimping big hooks. If you don't need to crimp medium or smaller hooks, these pliers will work for you. They're pretty well built. It would be nice if they had a way to attach a rope to it or something.

I love Rapala baits and have used them for many years. Knowing the quality there, I bought these pliers. Unfortunately, that didn't convince me. The cutting blade is so soft that the first time you cut the hook it will dent the surface. I ended up having to bend the metal multiple times to break it.
