Great replacement OEM

Perfect replacement with all dimensions and offset backplate as the original OEM solenoid. Very reliable contact. For spare nuts you will need 7mm and 10mm wrenches.

Pros
  • Solenoid - Voltage: 12V Number of Terminals: 4 Source: Aftermarket
Cons
  • No Performance

Bad product at Starters & Parts

I installed this on my 60hp 2002 Mercury. The motor cranked a couple of times and the new magnet shorted out. I ordered the product again and still haven't received it. Should have been delivered two days ago.

Pros
  • Computer tested for consistent quality and unmatched reliability
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

Broke after a few uses. It got stuck and almost burned my starter motor.

Not quite suitable for OEM Merc 60 hp. According to the product description it would be possible. I had to use the mounting plate from the old one to make it work. I bought two of these, thought it would be nice to have a spare. Forget it! I bought an OEM unit from another vendor that was a perfect fit. learned my lesson

Pros
  • Compatible with CAT, MERCURY, UTB and many more... Please confirm the part number of your original device to ensure correct installation.
Cons
  • Weight
