The connection radius of the remote control to the candles is about 60cm, making it pointless to pay more for remote controlled candles. The timer runs at half candles. I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to not having to turn each one on individually, but you even have to do it with the remote control. It might have been worth it if they were $10 instead of the $30 buying all the big lots.

These candles are easy to program with a remote control. For the holidays we put ours in the front windows across from our house; their soft shimmer makes them very real. We've programmed them to "burn" for 6 hours; Nice if they turn on and off at the same time every night. A neighbor asked me where we got them. I've had battery operated candles before but these are the best. I highly recommend them. They are beautiful!

Silver bases purchased, 2 boxes. All 20 spark plugs worked. With two candles it was a bit difficult. At first I just fixed the batteries, then they caught fire. Takes 3 threes out of five. After a long search for window candles I came across them. There are definitely better and more expensive options if you're willing to indulge in the extra dough. However for 9 candles this set works very well and I was impressed. The flashing options are good and the timer works well. I just wish it had an 8 hour timer. I have no complaints about these candles. They are exactly as described and all work. I have them in 4 different rooms - in the windows as part of our Christmas decorations - so I have to go into each room to light the candles but the remote control makes it painless. In most cases I use a 6 hour timer so the candles are lit around 5pm and extinguished around 11pm. If I were willing to spend a little more money I would buy AC powered candles and smart plugs for easier control, but it would cost

Unlike some reviewers, all of our candles came out of the box. The remote control is useful, although the range is somewhat limited. We have candles in different rooms and the remote needs to be close by so we went from room to room to turn them on and set the 4 hour timer. The "Flicker" setting gives a nice flame effect. The quality of these candles is very good. For the Christmas season we have one in every window. They were easy to set up and are working great so far. We love the FLF setting, which "flickers like a real candle". The timer is very convenient, it is very easy to set it to 4 or 6 hours on the remote control. Enough for the holiday season! I love these candles, they were quite festive and sophisticated. Love them and keep them by the fireplace for a year after the holiday season. Good price for 9 candles! If you change the batteries on one of them, you know it's going to be brighter than the others. You can see in my attached photo, one shines brighter. It has to do with changing the battery. I only had to replace one because it was a different brand of battery that didn't last as long as the others
