This is a nice jacket that works with seat belts. The problem is the size. My dog is 25 pounds and is on the smaller end of average. She is in XL. I believe her chest is about 20 inches. Increase this jacket by 2 sizes.

I have leashes as you know they have long bodies so it's difficult to find a jacket that closes at the tail but doesn't is too big for the ribs, abdominal cavity. This jacket is perfect because it has an elastic part where the ribs/belly are so it fits snugly to the body.

Check out the size chart! We have a Chihuahua Terrier mix and she is considered to be medium sized. Fits perfectly! Don't assume you know your dog's size. Use the chart and carefully measure your dog. A well made product and she got used to it in a few days. Easy to put on and take off. Good product.

We don't get that cold in Arizona, but when we do, our little multi-fluffy Luna, Baba (like me) is. It helps us a lot to go further. While she looks gorgeous in her sweater, it's MUCH easier to put on and keeps the rain out. Yes, it's rare, but we get it! I plan to order in another color!

Perfect fit! I have a 10lb Shih Tzu, 17" chest, ordered a size small. I love that it opens all the way, you don't have to bend your legs to get in, and the velcro is very strong. The central panel covers their chest and part of their abdomen, which keeps them from getting wet or snowballing on their underside. I ordered red and it's a mild rust color (looking good so far). I chose this coat because of the seat belt hole. Very satisfied, will probably order another one.

We followed the size chart and found the perfect fit. This jacket is completely fastened with Velcro, so now they try to put their paws in the armholes or squeeze their head through the neck.
