Lesson for me on choosing selectors

Having used this VH911R RCA selector I now know what to look for when looking for a replacement that may be available in the near future. It has selection buttons on the front of the box, which means my position often means I have to lift the box to switch buttons precisely. I would prefer if the buttons are on the top of the box. The keys also make a loud click when you press them when you're not keeping your finger on the key you're pressing, so it's released more slowly and quietly. Keys…

Pros
  • That seems to be all for now
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Works great just what you need

I bought a new TV with tons of HDMI inputs but only one set of component/composite inputs. Everything else I have uses composite outputs, and I didn't want to switch cables every time I wanted to switch from the Wii to the DVD player. If you are here, you may find yourself in the same situation. Let me tell you this junction box is what you need. I was concerned because some people said it wasn't balanced properly or that the internal electronics could be better, but I've been using it for over

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • dim

Ideal for cables and connections

You will receive a junction box that is a different model to that shown but has the same characteristics. Anyway, I think it looks better than the original. There are 4 groups of Composite/S-Video and L/R audio inputs and one output. Switching between devices is as easy as pressing a button (especially the loud one) after everything is connected. The front panel jack labeled "Out 2” is a convenient bypass stereo audio jack. You can plug in headphones or a set of speakers and the sound will play

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Something's wrong

Good but not great.

If you need a basic video switcher, this is the device for you. Pros: Affordable price Easy to use No external power required Cons: Video quality. Switching doesn't isolate, it simply grounds all other signals. Poor shielding will produce noticeable artifacts when using S-Video. Composite and S-Video outputs are also not isolated, so if you connect a Composite or S-Video input, it will route to both S-Video and Composite (i.e. even if your device is only connected to Composite, the S-Video…

  • Value for money
