Costs money! suitable for rough plumbing

I wasn't sure about buying this pump as I doubted it would vacuum any better than our shop vacuum, I was wrong. Our AC lines tend to get very congested (we live in South Florida and keep the air 73 degrees year round). I left the vacuum cleaner in the shop for 30 minutes without being able to unplug the line. I finally spent the money and bought this pump and I regret not having bought it sooner. I deleted the lines in about 30 seconds. I definitely recommend it and would buy it again ifโ€ฆ

Arrived quickly and fixed the problem

After being unable to pinch the AC drain pipe with a shop vacuum, I connected this device to the drain pipe external outlet. I used the suction side of the pump to create a vacuum in the tube to pull the dirt out. Following the advice of other reviewers, I quickly inflated the device for about 10 seconds and waited. After 20 or 30 seconds of waiting (and muscle recovery) I pumped again and eventually dirt and dirty water came out of the pump outlet. Success! I will now periodically run bleachโ€ฆ

Doesn't work upstream

I assume the people who wrote the great reviews used the pump on the outlet end to suck out the clog and I can see this product doing the trick. But it's not designed to push blockages upstream, as he claims. This is because the bracket protrudes beyond the access point, which is a T-piece. This means that the air from the pump can go in two directions. Of course it takes the path of least resistance and goes into the AC unit, not the blockage. Best for outdoor use

Works but not for use in tight spaces. Since it takes some force to move the pump up and down, it's best to place it on the floor, but then you'll have to worry about getting the hoses to the correct port on the HVAC unit. In a limited space, it is much easier to use a vacuum cleaner. because you only have one hose and don't have to pump. I have not used the pump outdoors as my connections are indoors. It seems to me that this pump is more efficient when used outdoors. In terms of cleaning, Iโ€ฆ

It's not worth it. - Water Pumps, Parts & Accessories

I bought this to clean 18 years of stubborn dirt from my upstairs AC condensate line and I was disappointed with how well it worked. To clean the line, I had to bleach over 10 passes of hot water after closing the outer tube, leaving the solution in the line for an hour or two each time. After letting the solution sit, I went outside, opened the line and vacuumed out the hardened dirt that looked like rust flakes. Good luck with that pump. I was wrong - I've had much better results removingโ€ฆ

Finally a product that really works

I was skeptical about this product at first but after buying all the other products I realized why not!. Well I can say that it not only cleared the clog but also pulled out some scaled dirt that has been clogging my AC condensate line since I bought the house. To be clear, we are in South Florida and we keep our house at 73 degrees all day, every day. We have a platinum service plan with our AC company on site 4 times a year to service the units. Even with regular maintenance of a new machine,

Start cleaning the condensate line here!

I live in central Texas where the weather is hot and the dew point and relative humidity are high. Last summer I blew out the condensate lines in my Trane system, used a heavy duty factory vacuum and a custom made condensate line fitting and bought two different brands of condensate line cleaning cartridges. Nothing worked. The water leaked through my exercise mat, went through the wall, and through my garage. My main air conditioner leaked water into my main bathroom. A mechanic recently toldโ€ฆ
