Description of ๐Ÿ”’ Quiet Clip Pair Set: Red Hound Auto 2 L Pins for Weight Distribution Equalizer Hitches

2 Premium Snap L Pins for weight distribution hitches; 1 for each side. Each Pin is approximately 4-1/4" x 1-3/4" with integrated snap clip. Makes weight distribution hitches quieter by holding the L-pin just above the top of the spring arm. Integrated snap clip easily flips up and down eliminating the need for a separate clip; simple upgrade to save time by no longer needing to fumble with installing the clip. Constructed of heavy duty steel and coated for corrosion resistance.

QA mark. to towing products and winches

Easy to manufacture product. It looks like it will do the intended job. L-shaped pin cracked during manufacture. bad iron? How did it pass quality control? To return.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No machine

I love these pens: Towing & Winches

They're a bit longer than the ones I'm used to but work really well. I really like using a wire tie to hold them in place. This is much easier than using a traditional locking pin.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Wrinkled Pack

Quick on and off!: Tow and winch attachments

There were some L-bolts with separate L-bolt clips that were difficult to insert/attach. These one-piece pins/clips make it easy to attach or detach by simply pushing the wire loop to attach or pulling up to remove. It kind of goes together, they're worth every penny!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Clarity

They work great hauling products and winches

Somehow my parents who were traveling on wheels lost a set of these units which I had to replace to replace those previously lost and these Red Hounds were the cheapest this time. They appear to be the same and work perfectly. I have to find a way to hang them from a cord or something because they don't just put them back in the hole and keep losing them.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • So far so good

Why so high? you are doing great work

I have no idea why they are so tall. I haven't seen any online, but they work. Very easy to install. No more skinned knuckles struggling with clutch clamps. Install the bars, install the L-pin and lock the bale. Did. I wish they were shorter. There's no need to be that high, even moving the handlebars all the way back (very tight turn) there's a huge gap. (5) an asterisk if shorter.

Pros
  • Great design

Great idea, poorly done

I'd really like this to work for me, but the spring clip location is such that these pins leave 3/4" vertical clearance above the bars. I'm not really I'm worried my bars will go up with the weight they carry, but they definitely don't feel secure. Also, the spring clamp isn't very "springy", which is probably more of a problem are just stiff. I feel like I could see a rock thrown from a tractor tire kinda knock them over.

Pros
  • Practical item
Cons
  • Some issues

I wish I had found them a few years ago

Had to replace stabilizer brackets for the caravan's weight distribution system. The company that sent me the replacement clips recommended them. Much easier to use than the ones I had with the cotter pin (difficult to put on and take off). No more kneeling to insert/remove the splint. Simply slide in, snap in, done. Genius. Went 3 times and had no problems. My only regret is that I didn't find her many years ago.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Good idea. Poor execution

I like this idea. Standard devices that use a stylus can be difficult to set up. The pins bend and are difficult to insert and remove. This replacement will probably work fine, but it could certainly be better. First, there is no spring in a spring clip. Only friction keeps the clamp in place. My concern is that it might move if rocks hit it. I think it would be better if the tabs were a bit shorter to allow the "spring" clips to fold all the way around and under the L bracket. They would beโ€ฆ
