Loud as a jet engine.

Loud stuff. And I mean really loud. I have it next to a 3D printer and the power supply is louder than the 3 fans on the printer (only 40mm) and the actual movement of the printer. When turning off the computer, the relay in the power supply makes a very loud click as the relay opens, which I have not heard with any other computer power supply. Haven't run any tests to see if it hits its 600w rating) and you can't hear it then it's fine. Otherwise don't use it. It will sound like your computer…

Pros
  • MAXIMUM SECURITY Universal 100-240V 50-60Hz AC input for a variety of applications, protects your components and data from unexpected voltage fluctuations. High performance protection including ORP, UVP, OPP, UPP
Cons
  • Negative imprint

Cheap junk. on Computers & Accessories

Was DOA, 1.5 hours went to the Microcenter for him, then it didn't work out. Had to drive back next weekend to get it back. Also, the plugs were so big that I couldn't plug a fan into the next socket. The motherboard main cable + mb power cable were the same, the cable came, not braided, and everything was separate. It looked like a mess.

Pros
  • FULLY MODULAR POWER SUPPLY This modular power supply's compact, modular cabling system simplifies installation and cabling. Use only the cables you need, reduce clutter, improve airflow. Nylon-jacketed, low-profile cables get a professional design and go digital.
Cons
  • May hurts

Fan noise aside, a decent fully modular 600W PSU.

I was lucky enough to get one on sale during Black Friday ($40 off!). That's more power than I currently need, but still enough for future expansion, which is likely to happen. Fully modular so you only use the cables you need. The cables themselves are black. You get MB power connectors, a CPU socket, PCI-E cables (two cables that support two connected devices), SATA cables (to cables that support 3 devices), and an IDE cable that supports 3 devices powered (if you have more than 3 devices)…

Pros
  • STABLE POWER SUPPLY This 700W power supply uses an active power factor correction circuit with a +12V output rail to provide computers with powerful and stable power. Compliance with Intel ATX 12V standards. Sufficient and stable current to fully support SLI and CrossFire systems
Cons
  • Minor issues

As soon as it arrives: Internal components

Ready to go. Made sure everything was connected properly according to the manual and clicked every time I tried to turn it on. (probably a safety mechanism). I sent it back straight away and my suspicion of a cheap power supply was confirmed.

Pros
  • EFFICIENCY AND RELIABILITY This switching power supply is 80+ Bronze certified and delivers over 85% energy efficiency at 50% load. Premium Japanese-made capacitors provide longer life and no explosions or leaks. Backed by a 3-year warranty and customer support
Cons
  • Operating speed
