This thing is easy to set up and use. It folds into shape and it's ready to go. No tools and literally seconds out of the box to get it ready to go. The wood is of good quality and the overall design is appealing. The bottom two shelves are big enough for laptops or whatever else you want to put inside. It was a waste of time and energy. See attached photo. The holes and pins on the top shelf are misaligned causing the shelf to not sit properly on top. Also, the company forgot to cut a slot in the bottom of the second shelf for a metal bracket to keep the shelf level. I see a slot in the shelf at the top of one of the photos. So the shelf didn't fit snugly in the brackets. Now I gotta repack the damn thing, seal it, and put it back on the porch for UPS to pick it up. And I have to wait here…

The shelf is well packaged. Ours was badly dented during shipping including a hole, we were sure it would be damaged but it wasn't! Easy to assemble - usually shipped assembled! After reading other reviews I decided it was bullshit whether I was going to get a bad block or not. Mine arrived damaged. The shelves fold up and down on metal dowels inserted into the side of each shelf. The top folding shelf in the unit I received was either not assembled properly or was damaged in transit. Unfortunately, I have to list this product for one major flaw: it comes in two blocks that fold together, and the top block only rests on 1 cm (5/8 inch) long softwood pegs. It falls down easily, separating at the middle joint. A cable tie is included for screwing to the wall and back of the unit. I ordered this bookshelf a year ago and only got around to unpacking it last night. It was well packaged, there were no scuffs, although the box was punctured in two places during shipping. Assembly was easy, although instructions differed from actual installation. For example, he had an equipment list.
