Damn good: Power Transmission Products

Correct bore size first. Grade 8 or better screws appear to have a good hex hole. Some use very cheap screws and bad threads. Easily clamps onto the shaft with a standard hex wrench.

Pros
  • Linear ball bearings
Cons
  • Some mistakes

Set Screw N/A

The customer is advised that the set screws are hex heads and a regular socket wrench will not fit as the clearance around the head and sprag is too small. unusual as most set screws have socket heads that are tightened with a hex wrench. I had to order M4 socket head screws separately to make it work. to measure it with a caliper, which not many people have in their tool box. Also, the products seem to be well made, but due to the issues I've had with them, I can only give them 3 points.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Set screw not available

The customer should be aware that the set screws have a hex head and a regular socket wrench will not work as there is too little clearance around the head and sprag. tighten with an Allen key. I had to order M4 socket head screws separately to make it work. Also the product page doesn't list the thread size so I had to measure it with a caliper which not many people have in their tool box. Otherwise the products appear to be well made but due to the issues I have had with them I can only give…

Pros
  • Linear Motion Products
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.
