Good product but missing hardware.

Very well constructed panel mount. One star down because I was short a bog of stainless hardware which cost me over $10 to replace since I needed it to do the install that day and could not wait for a response from the seller to send me the missing hardware. Stainless fasteners are expensive.

Pros
  • It will support off-grid systems, and panels up to 100W. The system comes complete with all fasteners to secure the system to the installation surface.
Cons
  • May require more maintenance than other mounting options

I ordered 9 of these for a solar project. For some odd reason, the u-bolts in the last carton I opened were too short. I went back and forth with Renogy customer service for over a month and exchanged a dozen emails or so trying to get Renogy to send me the correctly sized u-bolts. I eventually sent a photo explaining what I needed, which finally solved the problem and the right sized bolts were shipped.

Pros
  • Ideal for homeowners, RV enthusiasts, and off-grid living
Cons
  • May be more prone to damage from weather conditions like hail or snow

nor nearly as nice. Very impressed with this product

Before actually seeing the mount first hand, I thought it was high priced. However, after receiving It I realized it was very high quality built with very heavy duty aluminum. After pricing materials to build one myself, I realized I could not have built one cheaper, nor nearly as nice. Very impressed with this product. The assembly instructions were extremely well written and very clear, probably the best I have ever seen.

Pros
  • Compatible with a wide range of Renogy solar panels
Cons
  • May not fit properly on all pole sizes

I purchased this mount for my solar panel as at $45 it was half the price of the other mount available on Best Buy.I noticed that several reviewers recommend having two people to install this mount and I agree however I was able to get it installed without help but it wasn't easy. Trying to hold this mount together while getting the bolts tightened isn't easy especially from the top of a ladder. Adjusting the mount to the correct angle is even more difficult even without the panel on the mount.

Pros
  • Mounting on the side of a pole maximizes solar exposure
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all types of solar power applications

UPDATE: After contacting the seller and being told that missing parts will be sent out, I have not received them. Downgraded to one star.Nice thick aluminum and looks well made. As I was going through the manual in the "Identification of Parts" section I discovered that component J, the 4 End Clamps that hold the solar panel are missing.I have attached a photo of the missing parts.Contacting the seller. If he makes it right, I will change this to 5 stars. If not it will get changed to one…

Pros
  • This system makes the installation of small solar systems easy, affordable and quick.
Cons
  • May interfere with other roofing fixtures such as vents or chimneys

Very satisfied with the quality

This was a great purchase, very robust. I am certified to install solar and i will be using renogy much more often. I mounted mine directly to my tiny house and placed 4 powereco 25watt panels that were 1'×2', it works as a rain block when trying to unlock my house.

Pros
  • Renogy
Cons
  • May require professional installation for best results

Needs improvement in my review

The product is as described and fairly easy to assemble. Cons the 2 Ubolts are to large. My pole is 2 5/8 as help section says max 300mm so I had to add 5 washers to all bolts in order to be able to tighten it on the pole, secondly to adjust is not so easy "real pain” Wish it had a type of rotator that allowed the twist of the unit left or right to compensate where the sun is in morning, noon and mid afternoon.last con, the wires on the panel were tagged wrong. I hooked up positive according to

Pros
  • Can be easily adjusted to accommodate different solar panel sizes and weights
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all types of outdoor lighting conditions

missing some hardware

Missing some hardware, contacted by Email Renogy customer service for assistance. Frame looks very Sturdy, but no info on angle measurements.

Pros
  • Provides flexibility for mounting solar panels in areas with limited space
Cons
  • May not fit properly on all pole shapes

Large Frame for Small Panels

Seems to be a sturdy well designed frame but gets expensive if need to use a 8 or 10', 4" diameter pole.We will see how this "jerry-rigged" mount using a 3.5" PVC hood s up in the wind ++

Pros
  • Easy to assemble and mount.
Cons
  • May not be as durable over time as other mounting options

Very secure best in my review

I used these to mount five solar panels to the roof of our bus conversion. It was a little scary because it will keep the solar panels tilted up somewhat even when I'm driving down the road, but it was necessary because the roof of the bus is curved and I couldn't get the panels to lay flat. I ended up mounting these with the recommended bolt, but I also used Dynatron 550 seam sealer (from the local auto-parts store) to mount it to the roof. I squeezed some into the drill hole before putting…

Pros
  • Lightweight design makes it easy to transport and install
Cons
  • May not allow for adequate air flow for cooling solar panels

Watch for defective panels

I would love to write a great review but renogy's quality has gone right down the drain. I have one that I purchased a few years ago and it's perfect. I bought 2 pairs thinking I was saving a few dollars and it seems like I have 2 nice panels and 2 trashy panels. One even has the corner piece that they take off in front of one of the silicon chip. Very upsetting. I think I will be pulling the two bad ones of soon and finding a better company that has quality pieces.

Pros
  • Provides a sleek and professional look to your solar setup
Cons
  • May not be suitable for leased or rented properties

Easy Setup, working great

I actually used this on a wood 4 x 4 and a 100w Renogy Compact, Works great and is just what I needed in the space I wanted to use it. I am considering another to place under the First to make a stack, plenty of sun If I choose to. This is just a shed power source for now while I learn more but is doing exactly what I wanted it to. All screws and Hardware were included, Happy Customer so far. Will try to include pics later

Pros
  • Helps to maximize the amount of energy generated by your solar panels
Cons
  • May require a professional evaluation before installation to ensure proper compatibility

Get some t-bolts before you start, the stock ones seize

Seems like a good value for the money but beware as the t bolts seized while adjusting so I had to waste 5 hours fixing it and finding new bolts. Had to cut the bolts to get them free. I live 1 hour from the nearest hardware store so it was quite a hassle

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of damage to solar panels caused by high winds or weather events
Cons
  • May require additional reinforcement for added security

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not very adjustable

Well made but not overly adjustable. If you want something to easily change the angle as the seasons change, this isn’t it.

Pros
  • Designed to work with a variety of Renogy solar panel sizes and configurations
Cons
  • May not be suitable for rooftops with low weight capacities

Great product - my new review

brackets worked great for my little 50 watt panel, comes with all the SS nuts bolts and washers which makes this a really great kit since you don't have to purchase all of these separately. I used these brackets to mount the panel to the side of my garage to run a 12volt fan. Great product.

Pros
  • Offers a superior alternative to ground mounting options for many homeowners
Cons
  • May not be suitable for solar panels that require constant adjustment for optimal performance

Can be easily modified

I had a Renogy 100w solar panel for my RV to keep the batteries trickle charged, when not in use, but didn't want to punch any holes in the RV roof to mount it. I drilled new holes in the cross members of the mount, bought four 1-1/4" u-bolts and mounted it on the RV ladder.

Pros
  • Allows for easy installation without the need for professional help or specialized equipment
Cons
  • May not provide sufficient support for solar panels in all types of weather conditions
