This machine has many working options. First, there are ample options for adjusting lighting and sound levels. If you want total darkness and silence in your room, you're going to have trouble with this (or any other type of air filtration). But if you can live with very light LED light and little noise, you'll be fine. And if you need a night light and/or white noise, that's fine too! Air quality color coding seems like a really cool feature. Mine has always shown mine as the cleanest setting.
