🚤 S3227 18-7948 Fuel Filter: The Ultimate Replacement for Marine Boat Engines Review

This is not a Parker replacement! The plastic drain that screws into the bottom does not fully tighten and fell out causing the boat to shut down. Now I have to buy a "real" Parker to replace this useless filter.

. The filter element is almost identical to OEM but lighter and came without seals but with o-rings. It seals really well how well it works and removes water I'll have to wait until next season.

The threads are too low for the lower basket to grip properly. See photo. The original filter is on the right. This piece of junk is on the left. We had to cancel our boat plans. Super screwed up. The return window will simply close. I messed it up. Spring. The joys of owning a boat

Original tapered lip/shoulder to accommodate O-ring. Interchangeable lip/shoulder flat. They are not compatible with old drain floor filters - SAME NUMBER! This encourages buying a whole new unit and discourages just replacing the filter element. Revain should not allow the filter to be sold separately as a replacement.

As you have pointed out in other comments, this filter does not fit properly in the plastic bowl. I tested it on the original S3227. It's not due to wear or anything, it's just the wrong size and creates a very dangerous situation if fuel is trapped or the bottom of the filter ejects completely. Too bad, because it looks well made and of course at the right price.

I have Sierra 18-7948 filters on my boat along with a bottom pan to drain the water from the fuel. I bought this filter based on the product description which said it replaces the Racor S3227 and Sierra 18-7948 filters. but the clear bottom pan on my Sierra 18-7948 does not connect properly to this filter and falls off when filled with fuel. DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY THIS FILTER FROM CHINA!
