Seems to work better (fingers crossed) than others so far

After having problems with another product (also purchased from Revain) I decided to try this one based on the reviews. It's only been installed for a day, but so far it seems to outperform the others. Let's hope the quality of this product will be maintained.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Don't forget to close the gap to avoid permanent damage.

. ). Note, however, that there is a gap between the connector and the housing. Be sure to seal the gap with silicone sealant; One of my units was permanently damaged by heavy condensation in the headlight housing (the new DEPO headlight housing had a leak around the gasket). Also note that there is an unnecessary ground connection during the connection. I would take a hacksaw and take it off to fit a rubber gasket to keep moisture out.

Pros
  • Best-in-Niche

Definitely a great $200-$300 alternative to the stock dealer ballast

This is an "almost" exact match for the 2005 Acura TSX. This one has a bar that the OEM didn't have and it fit well, but with a little elbow grease I got it seated properly. Once installed, the HID lights worked without hesitation. Definitely a great alternative to stock ballast for $200-$300 at the dealer. I would recommend checking the fuses for HID issues first, this is common and if you have a fuse that blows when you replace it and turn on the light, the ballast has probably blown. yourโ€ฆ

The best product, five times cheaper!

100% satisfied. Perfect fit. Here is the process: 1) Remove the bumper; Search on YouTube, even mechanics can do it. The partner really helps. 2) Remove the headlight assembly by removing five 10mm screws. Get out right away. 3) Remove the old ballast that is attached to the underside of the headlight assembly and secured with three screws. 4) Install the new ballast with the three screws. 5) Replace headlight unit 6) Replace bumper Done! The headlights on my 2003 Acura TL now work like newโ€ฆ

Recommend buying new plastic clips

I have a 2004 Acura TSX and had to replace the ballast and squib on BOTH headlights. The dealer (just kidding and joking) charged me $1600 to fix both headlights. I bought 4 needed parts from Revain and spent $175! This took two hours (we're total amateurs) and a homemade video we found on You Tube as a guide. The tools we needed were a slotted screwdriver and a 10 mm socket wrench. I recommend buying new plastic clips as mine are just old plastic clips that broke due to their brittleness. Iโ€ฆ

Incredible seller!

We bought a ballast for our 2004 Acura TSX after we knew it needed replacing. Not only was the cost much lower than other sources, esp. from the dealer, but for some reason the ballast stopped working about 6 months after installation. Sellers communicate very quickly and we are sincerely concerned. After our first message about what could be done, my husband had a bike accident and we didn't understand what the salespeople had to say. So after a few weeks we continued to exchange messages andโ€ฆ
