good deal! in filters

The best deal on a device that can overlook a few 350 Chevys. I really liked the quality and design. It's nice to have entrances and exits on both sides. Made the setup very easy. Most similar devices cost twice as much.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Completely failed. Cannot return for a refund.

Complete failure. The gasket fell apart and the bowl was deformed and displaced. I can only assume that the sun heated the gas in the bowl and created enough pressure to do this? Boats sit in the sun anyway, so something like that shouldn't work. The only way to get a refund is to send it back. I'm not sure the post office would appreciate it if I sent an item soaked in gasoline.

Dangerous, check carefully for leaks

Update 09/09/20: The lower plastic water pan has been deformed by the impact of petrol to the point that it cannot even be screwed onto the filter. If it had happened while I was on duty, I wouldn't have a houseboat now. This is a serious design flaw and a serious hazard, I was just lucky. _________________________________ Severe leak between bottom o-ring and water glass, gas everywhere. Cleaned, relubricated and tightened to instructions but still leaking badly. I had to buy a replacement at…

Do not buy, 2 of them leaked

The first one leaked, they sent me another one and it leaked in the same place where the metal filter is screwed into the transparent plastic. Yes, the seal is present. the second even had a mental pad. Plastic is clearly not for gasoline. The footsteps on the clear plastic were very soft. I have tried another brand before and it did the same thing. I've read other reviews from other brands and they all seem to have a few people with the exact same problem. I'll buy another one that doesn't…

BUYER NOTE - Fuel Filter

Well I got this water separator, installed it on my boat and it leaked like a strainer. I don't know yet, at the moment it turns by itself, but I don't know if it will be completely tight, then there was a black rubber disk that floated in the bowl. I've been trying to get the seller to help me figure out where this might be going. Now I don't get any reply from them so don't buy buyer be careful don't buy. His glass bowl is off, he doesn't screw on the filter, this company, this seller doesn't

Scrap fuel filter leaking gas

This is scrap. The O-ring failed within the first few days after installation. Unfortunately I didn't see him until he leaked gas all over the bottom of the boat. I figured it might be my fault for not tightening the bowl properly the first time I installed it, so I tried draining the bowl with the included drain plug but the drain gasket failed and was leaking. After fixing this leak I reinstalled the bowl but a few days later the o-ring failed again and more gas flowed all over the boat. I…

A fishing trip

Installed correctly on my boat according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lasted a fishing trip in the lake before I started having a leak on the thread where the clear trap cup meets the actual filter. It was only recently that I took my boat out of storage to start the engine when all this pandemic madness started. A small leak turned into a full leak when the clear trap cup emptied while you filled the lamp. Now I have to replace the entire unit after two months with no refund because I…

DO NOT BUY, STAY AWAY, DANGEROUS GOODS.

I made a HUGE mistake ordering this product, an even bigger mistake for me was installing this POS on my boat, I ended up with 6 of my brothers and I sitting in the middle of nowhere 65 miles offshore offshore waiting for a US BOAT Come on pick us up every 12 seconds on a 6ft wave. In total, the return to dock took 14 hours from the time the tug was radioed. I have a twin Yamaha 250 hp, before installing this POS nothing happened, after 35 miles from shore the engine throttle struggled on both…

Worst product ever bought from Revain

Let me start by saying that I'm an engineer so I think I know what I'm talking about. I've never had a part that gave me so many problems, especially the fuel/water separator. The first problem was that the hole to drain the water broke. I tried to fix it but the rubber inside was floating around the clear plastic bowl. This caused a serious fuel leak while driving, which could easily have started a fire. I went ahead and solved this problem by eliminating the threaded valve entirely. The…
