We previously bought the original MAKITA sole (ASIN B002AQT8PU) and were thrilled. After a lot of deck grinding, this time I settled on Revain's Choice: FAILURE. My wife was trying to fit this to our grinder and a screw didn't fit so she couldn't tighten it. and *boom*. Spend a little more money and grab the real deal.

Replacement pad does not fit Makita B05031K as described. The screw head holes are too small. Please see the photos which show an incorrect fit as well as the difference between the OEM pad screw holes (left) and this part (right). If you're patient, you can use a drill to modify the part to widen the holes enough. Disappointed with this purchase.

So far so good. The pads stick well and they fit my BO5041/K Makita. I will update in a few days after launch. The update works great, so far it has had a full 8 hours with no issues. Quality at an affordable price. Update: still valid. My 4 year old daughter was helping me with the work and she took this without the sanding disc and sanded for about 5 minutes and the damn thing is still holding the pads hahahahaha!

We are a stair manufacturer and use Porter Cable orbital sanders extensively every day. The sanding pads wear out before the machine, so replacing the pads is a cost-effective option. We have used these replacement pads in the past and they work great. They fit onto the grinder as needed and the hook holds the grinding wheel as needed. They have been added to the company's wish list for easy re-ordering. PSR is approved and recommended.

Yes I saw bad reviews but decided to give it a try anyway. (I also bought an OEM DEWALT pad at the same time expecting to be disappointed with this half price plastic POS). It installed well. I started with a light sanding job and noticed strange loud vibration noises and then the pad completely separated from the sander. Upon inspection (see photos) the screw holes were enlarged enough to cause separation. No solution seems impossible. That's my $8+ lesson a day. Maybe it will help you decide…

The sandpaper discs glued to this pad are awesome! Unfortunately, the pad didn't stick very well to the sander. This replacement pad worked about twice before my grinder started making weird noises and the action stopped working. I turned it off thank goodness before inspecting the disc and found that the mounting screws had ripped off part of the disc where it connected to the grinder.
