The disposable red straw was an odd addition

Looks like they were made for using a vacuum sealer when evacuating air so when I saw that my stuff included a disposable red straw, both for milkshake I was clearly confused. Despite having a large lung capacity, I can't suck hard enough to get a decent bag vacuum, and dizziness isn't that much fun when I'm trying to attend to 5 bags of floss. ok-yeah (again, it's hard to say this correctly as I can't achieve a proper vacuum or bag sealing without a vacuum sealer or some other device. Definitely NOT airtight but better than filament on

Received these packs today and started using them straight away. Ignore the description that says they are sealed. You are not. And ignore Rob's "best review" saying he doesn't understand what Gary is talking about; his pockets appeared to be airtight. Of course, right after most of the air has been deflated, they're pretty tight and you can't separate the sides, but as others have pointed out, wait an hour and the bags will be back to normal. They worked well enough!

Still trying to figure out why 'print quality' and 'adhesion' are things to judge plastic bags by. :-) But it is neither here nor there. These bags did their job well. A straw is included so you can suck the air out of the bags before closing them. Of course, this works best if you zip the bag up to the straw at the end of the zipper and press it firmly against the straw while sucking out the air, then pull out the straw and zip up.
