They're not meant to be dishwasher safe. I do not know. I dropped them on the bottom shelf first and they didn't melt or discolor. works for me They are large enough for 16 and 20 oz reusable cups.

Simple and easy to clean. I replaced my colored/opaque straws with these. They're clean, so I need to be sure they're clean. Make sure you get the 11 inch model and scale it down to size. They have a glass on one end so it doesn't fall out of your cup.

So they don't float in soda which I have trouble with using plastic, they are strong and don't seem to scratch easily They flex a bit , making them less likely to break. Didn't know they were for jars because there is a loop at the bottom to make sure it doesn't come out of the bottle so it can be a little annoying trying to get into a soda can but nothing major .

I don't know why I thought the longer the better. The straws I used to buy were 9 inches long, and these 11 inches are long enough to put in my eye. In addition, they cannot be washed in the dishwasher. If I had noticed that, I would not have received them. (Remember that washing straws in the dishwasher won't make them very clean anyway, but they come out clean sometimes, so I'd like that option.)

They are long but the plastic is very thin so did they start to warp after the first wash? DO NOT put in the dishwasher - I put some of mine in the cutlery basket and ran the dishwasher and when I took them out after some of them had been bent almost 90 degrees.
