Poor quality, best in ironing boards

The packaging is missing parts and the metal brackets are bent. There are no video tutorials online. The packaging says install in 15 minutes. I had 2 hours when I realized major metal parts were bent and I was a DIYer. You can't fit it into a face frame cabinet without a table saw. I wish I had bought a different brand.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Some cons

My drawer ironing board is perfect in every way

My drawer ironing board is perfect in every way. If, like me, you hate pulling out your ironing board every time you need to iron something and you have a drawer in the laundry room or closet that you can donate, I highly recommend it. My contractor found it easy to install and it fits perfectly. So far no problems.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Needs an outlet

A little tricky to install

I have installed this in a number of custom made cabinets with recessed doors. The doors had a gap of only 1/8 at the edges. Be sure to use a self-centering router to guide the mounting holes when working with such narrow gaps on fascia doors. Also note that when fully extended, you must unlock the locks on either side of the rails to close them.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Quality

If you buy this model knowing its limitations, this is a 4 star product. But if you buy it thinking it's the perfect, heavy-duty, full-size ironing board for everything, you'll be disappointed. As other reviewers point out, the "mechanism" can be a bit finicky (and it's not the smoothest thing in the world, even when installed properly). This is an oversized "touch-up" ironing board, but it also has limitations (e.g. you can't wear jeans on it, the folding mechanism can be unreliable). Overall…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Easy replacement in cabinet drawer

The only thing I don't like about this well-made product is that the side rails were identical - neither left nor right - so the clips had to be moved in opposite directions to remove or install. Small complaint actually but I figured there was a left and right side so the black plastic latches would move in the same direction when removing the rails and board. The hardest part of the install was fitting/aligning the front of the drawer to the unit. . I had to mount the unit a little over 3/4"…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Negligible repairability
